IceFest originated in 2002 to help shake the mid-winter blues that fall upon us. A large group of volunteers came together to bring displays and other activities to get us out of our houses and into our local community. Over the years, the committee has grown, the events have grown and the crowds have grown.

  • $ Pancake breakfast at Trinity Episcopal Church, adult $6 at door, children under 8- $2.00, 58 S. 2nd St. $

 

9-5PM

  • ArtFest is back and will be held at the Old Jail on 2nd & King Street. Artists will donate their time and talents to create a piece of art in 8 hours: the art will be auctioned live at 4:30 PM! All proceeds from this event will go to For the Kids of Chambersburg.  717-377-2412

 

9-8PM

  • Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from King to Washington St. and Lincoln Way from 2nd St. to Black Ave.

  • The Foundry Artist Cooperative, 100 South Main Street, local art and fine craft; demonstrations by member artists. 717-261-0706

  • Frozen Flicks- FREE movie, "Toy Story 4", at the Coyle Free Library, 102 N. Main St.  >> More Details

  • Pick up for Stuffed Animal Sleepover at Coyle Free Library- have some breakfast snacks and to see what the animals did at their sleep-over, 102 N. Main St.

  • Children’s Book Walk through downtown: “The Magician” by Sherri Maret, beginning at the Council for the Arts, 103 North Main Street. Follow the pages and meet the author from 10-3 at the Council

  • Coloring room and other musical activities and class demos provided by the Cumberland Valley School of Music at Central Presbyterian Church

  • “Penn’s Woods Printmakers: All Media Show”, an exhibit of paintings and drawings, as well as etchings, linocuts and other hand-pulled prints, 11/30 Visitors Center, on the square next to Central Presbyterian. Also on display: artwork by CASD elementary and middle school students. 717-267-1396.

  • Chambersburg Quilt Guild raffle: "Tribute to A Cure” at 11/30 Visitors Center, on the square next to Central Presbyterian:  A portion of the proceeds will go Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance.
